Disable Gravatars in Recent Comments

    I recently upgraded WordPress to it’s latest version.
    I have the Easy Gravatars plugin installed. However, with WordPress updated, it now displays avatars in the (built-in) Recent Comments widget. There were no avatars in the previous WordPress version and I don’t want them now either. How can I disable them?

    PS – To avoid confusion, I want the (gr)avatars to appear in the comments. Just not in the Recent Comments list/widget.
