my problem is really quite a simple one but a few hours of google search and trying various plugins have not brought me closer to its solution.
What I really want is to disable the gallery. I have a blog were there will often will be posts with a lot of pictures and I will surely not add one pic at a time to my post. I want to be able to upload a number of them and them add them as a gallery or whatever to my post. And in that post I want NONE of that fancy dark-shade-fading shit, no thumbnails, no displaying of the bigger sized picture on top of the thumbnail list. All I want is that my images are displayed in original ration ,resized to a maximum width of 500px and clicking on them will link (without any hover effects or anything) to the full-size file.
That shouldn't be THAT hard, should it? Maybe some php snippets? I'm sure this has been done before, I just can't seem to find it, please help me out here, thanks, Simon.
Oh, and please don't go giving me any plugins. I need to use WordPress's original gallery/upload structure for another plugin on my site (featured image) to be able to access the files.
