Disable Dashboard Enable Adding Post for "Members"

I am using WP 3.3.1 version with BuddyPress 1.5.1 version.

I wish to have my users post new blog. This is achieved by changing their user role to “Contributor” or “Member”. But when doing this, they get the access to the Dashboard.

How can I avoid this and also provide a way for them to add a new blog post?
