Disable Auto-Formatting

    Content Auto-Formatting. Disable it. Disable it forever.
    Various plugins can’t even disable it completely.

    Add a config setting to enable if anyone really wants it.
    Remove it from the code completely, have it as a plugin that can be installed instead.

    I cannot edit anything without WP destroying any type of formatting.
    If I need 5 lines between paragraphs, I can’t have that.

    I spend WAY TOO MUCH time with customer content trying to fight Auto-Formatting. Of all WordPress’s greatness, Auto-Formatting is the single most impossible feature to live with.

    Please.

    Why? What are you actually adding to try and end up with 5 lines between paragraphs?
