    hi,

i purchased a domain name thru a service, and i can’t transfer to my hosting service (fat cow) for 60 days.

my domain with fatcow is studioszabo.com, and i am going to want to have several separate wordpress sites with their own domain:

    http://www.olibot.com
    http://www.turf10.com

but how do i get the user to type in the above domains and get directed to whatever directory i need to install wordpress into on my server at fatcow?

i’ve tried their domain pointing to http://www.studioszabo.com/turf10 and also http://www.studioszabo.com/turf10-redirect with wordpress installed in those directories, but nothing works…

fatcow is supposed to get back to me about this but well, if anybody can help that would be fantastic.

    thanks,
    erica

  • I assume that your main domain is studioszabo.com. You can have several other domains on the same server account if your server account allows multiple domains. They will be called subdomains.

    1. Create a folder under studioszabo.com with the name, for example, olibot.com. and in your server control panel assign the subdomain http://www.olibot.com to that folder.

    2. Install WordPress in http://www.olibot.com

    I hope this helps.

Thanks Peter! It turns out that it was an issue on Fatcow’s end, since I had done exactly that. All resolved now. Thanks again.
