That seems to work. The server your site is hosted on needs to be configured to accept “index.php” as a default page. You can contact your host and ask them to set this up. Alternatively, if you can create/edit a .htaccess file, you can specify this in it:

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html

Here’s a couple pages on .htaccess, in case you’re unaware of its purpose:

ok ….. now that i set up my directory index… it is up… but now it is not letting me get pass login… i am using the right password and username… but all it soes is revert me back to the admin page again…….it cycles thru the admin page…… any ideas

Are the login and password in the correct case? Can you try resetting the password?

ok… the passwor is correct…… cause is use anything else…. is says password is incorrect……. so the password is good…. this is the link i get when i enter the admin……
    http://www.missingsaddle.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php
but then it shows admin again?

and if i send my self a new password the page shows
The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…
and my mail accounts are up and running?

now it is not letting me get pass login… i am using the right password and username… but all it does is revert me back to the admin page again…….it cycles thru the admin page…… any ideas??

I have exactly the same problem arrived at in the same way. I notice that this post is nearing two weeks old. Was a fix in the mix??
