Hi equinestaff,
You need to use some custom CSS to override what you theme does with these standard elements. Here is an article about how to use custom CSS with Business Directory in a way that doesn’t get overwritten on upgrade of BD: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-use-custom-styles-with-bd-2-1/
Thanks that was great help, i just can’t however find the actually page i need to custom to change the color. Thanks
Hi equinestaff,
Not sure I understand–are you asking which page to modify? In this case, you’re changing a CSS file (per the article) and using a page as a guide to find the elements to add to this file.
Or am I misunderstanding your question here?
Sorry i have used firebug and changed the info in this file business-directory-plugin/admin/resources/admin.css over to the new file i created called wpbdp_custom_style.css under wp-content/plugins however no changes where done, i’m not sure if the info on this file business-directory-plugin/admin/resources/admin.css is the correct file to change the grey colours on my listing page http://restodesto.com.au/classified-listing/?action=viewlistings so i can see them more clearly as this file business-directory-plugin/admin/resources/admin.css was the one firebug told me to change. Hope that makes sense.
The admin CSS (which you reference above) shouldn’t be controlling the front-end display (the link you showed above). What block of CSS did you change to affect the listings before you moved it to the custom CSS file?
Thats ok thanks for your help- i fixed it copying this file /business-directory-plugin/resources/css/wpbdp.css
Thank you for your help and support.
