• Oh the horror!

the :-P favicon just looks like the :-) or :-D emoticon but with a red mouth.

    :-P:-):-D
    πŸ˜› – πŸ™‚ – πŸ˜€

Now we all know that mouths already look red, so this isn’t sufficient to distinguish the tongue-sticky-outy emoticon from the smiling emoticon.

The key distinguishing feature of the :-P favicon is the asymmetry of the tongue placement, in my scholarly opinion.

This must be remedied! The fate of the entire WP community rests on it!

You can replace them, you know πŸ™‚

I’m lazy, so I made a folder for my replacements:

    RewriteRule ^wp-includes/images/smilies/(.*)\.gif$ /myimages/smilies/$1.png [L,R=301]

what a nice idea. I wouldn’t ever have thought to rewrite them to new folder.

I got tired of having to overwrite them in the real folder, or use a plugin πŸ˜‰ it was fun to find all my own icons, too!
