I recently got some hits from google on some totally unrelated keywords, checked again, and indeed some keywords were from one of my posts while the others were randomly from my sidebar (i.e. from a shoutbox, the tag cloud and the list of recent comments)
NOW the question is how high is the risk of diluting one's content by excessive content in sidebars, footer and other areas?
I mean if I show a shoutbox with the latest 10 comments and the latest 10 comments globally from my site in the sidebar that will totally dilute my keyword density in carefully written and worded articles :-(
Anyone care to shed some light or air their opinions on this topic?
