Difficulties Enabling Multisite, Perhaps from Domain Name Change?

    Hello, I am trying to install the multisite feature but am having difficulties implementing it.

    I was able to change the wp-config by adding the “define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);” without a problem. When I enter into WordPress, specifically under the “Create a Network of WordPress Sites”, it says, “Warning: An existing WordPress network was detected.”

    WordPress suggests I add more codes to the wp-config and htaccess files, and this is where I encounter problems. After I add the codes I am unable to log back into WordPress.

    The WordPress log-in website pops up but the interface looks garbled. When i type my username and password i am unable to log-in.

    At one point, i was redirected to an old domain name. I changed domain names a while ago and am thinking if this may have something to do with my problem.

    I was wondering how i can fix this?
