Hi people! I'm new to WordPress.

I'm using the Sidebar to place there Galleries. I need to change the galleries I show depending on the page that I am in. Bassically, choose a different widget depending on the page, on the sidebar.

I used the search and found this thread:
    http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/different-widgets-on-each-page

Seems like it wasn't possible 2 years ago. Is it possible now?

    That's it. Thank you!!

    Hi _Maxi,

You'll want to search for the "Widget Logic" plugin from your "Plugin-->Add New" area in the backend of your install.

Install that plugin and it puts a new input field in the bottom of your widgets that allows you to put conditional tags for each plugin.

As an example, if you had a page with a slug named "about" and if you wanted a widget to only show on that page, you would enter the following in the "Widget Logic" area at the bottom of the widget:
    is_page('about')

    Hope that helps:)

Oh nice. I will try that.

But, I would need to create multiples Widgets right? I mean, using that plugin, one Widget will appear in the page that fits the conditions only. So I have to install one Widget for every page I want. Even though they are the same type of widget.

I use a Widget, or Plugin, called NextGEN Gallery. I put it on sidebar. I will have to "deceive" WordPress and install multiple times the same widget, and put all the different galleries on sidebar, but only one at a time will be shown, the one that fits with the ID of the page.

Is that correct? Do you suggest something different?

    Thanks!!

    Man!! you saved me :)

I added several Widgets of the same type to the same position but added a different condition to each one, so only one shows at the same time, on the right page.

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
