I am currently using WP ecommerce. I was wondering if I could have my blog sidebar different than the store sidebar. I would like my blog to not have a shopping cart as a widget on the sidebar. Is this possible to do with the wordpress software or is there someone I can hire for this? Thank you for the help!

I wrote this up after I did exactly what you are after. I needed a different sidebar for my shop.

If you scroll down to the comments, some plugins are suggested as well which may do what you are after, I've just never used them
