   Hello,

   was wondering if this was possible..currently i am using a custom permalink

   /reviews/%postname%/

   i have a category called "articles" so was wondering if it was possible to change the permalink for those particular posts that are assigned to the category "articles" to show as

   /articles/%postname%/

   thanks!

   No, you can not do it in that way.
   You should have used the %category% from the beginning:
   Using_Permalinks#Structure_Tags
