   Under Reading Options we can set the number of posts to display, but is there other way to set the number of posts to display?

   I'd like my archive pages to display more numbers of posts as compared to my index page.

   Creating an Archive Index should help you. Let us know if it does not!

   Thanks skippy, but not sure it helped.

   for now, i've set my wp to display 5 post per page, so my index, or any archives pages shows 5 posts then have the "past posts/next posts" links...

   what i am looking for is to have more than 5 posts per page for, say my monthly archives before the past/next links are displayed.
