I just made a new wp site, http://www.smokinhotcopy.com. I set the homepage to a static page, built the other pages and all are great. The only problem is, when I type in http://www.smokinhotcopy.com into my address bar, it brings up the homepage, but the template is messed up looking. But when I click on the Home tab on that or any other page, it comes up normal. How can I fix this?
Thanks
actually this
http://smokinhotcopy.com/hom/
is what you go to clicking on home tab

Yeah, that's where it takes you when you click on the Home tab once you are finally on the site. But if I give someone my address, and they type in http://www.smokinhotcopy.com, they are taken to a messed up site.
How do I fix this so that when typing in the address, they are taken to the correct looking page? I guess make the .com and the .com/hom page one and the same? But I dont know how to do that.
create a page you want for landing page
go to
dashboard - settings - reading
set that newly created page to be "static front page"
now create an empty page titled "Blog" (or whatever)
save it
dashboard - settings - reading
set that to be your "posts" page
