If you look at the galleries in the posts that have them here you'll see the same main image shown in each: http://jcreport.com/daily/ (wordpress MU 2.9.1)
They seem to load ok at first but then they are targeted by javascript all at once to have the same main image. The div's have different ids:
<div class='main_image galleryid-9199' id='galleryid-9199'></div>
<div class='main_image galleryid-9174' id='galleryid-9174'></div>
etc... so this doesn't make sense.
Maybe someone can tell me where the javascript for this is so I can see if there is a problem there.
Thanks!
Actually I see different images/albums for different posts. I see that you have also installed BuddyPress and using the NextGen Gallery Plugin.
Unsolicited Feedback: Might I also mention how annoying I find all the animations - from top banner to the the slider on the right combined with the animated Sony Ericsson ads on the left and right sidebars. You needn't worry about the images because visitors would most probably be turned off by those animations like I was to even go beyond the main page.
I took this over, not my ideas there at all...
Anyway I put it back to default gallery behavior, only after I posted did I realize that what I was observing was a result of the Gallery Reloaded plugin which is disabled now. That includes an image swap based on class, not id, so it only works for one gallery on a page.
Sorry for the confusion. I started a more relevant discussion here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/359221?replies=2#post-1377240
