Different company sites using same blog posts (5 posts)

I have to build several company sites, divisions of one company, with the same blog. The emphasis is more on the static pages; the blog is on the last button in the menu.

It would be nice if I could just copy the code, web folders + database to different sites and then have all the sites pull their blog posts from only 1 database - only the blog posts, not the static pages etc.!

Can that be done? What would be the best approach to achieve this?

Would it be possible to write a plugin that directs all the post actions to a specific database? How would I define that database in a function? Are there plugins that do similar things?

Another approach could be a plugin that synchs posts in several databases. There's this plugin. Don't think it really fits what I need.

why not use a plugin to pull the blog posts from one blog to all of the others?

    Thanks samboll!

That looks promising. I didn't want to have to resort to pure RSS, but this looks like it's seamlessly integrated in WordPress. I'll try it and report back...

Edit: On second look, isn't this a regular RSS feed plugin, for external feed coming into WP?

It syndicates content from feeds that you choose into your WordPress weblog

I don't want to resort to RSS. There should be a more solid inside way to pull in those posts.

Finally got around to installing FeedWordPress. It's actually a very effective, user-friendly plugin that will greatly enhance my network of WP sites and make my life a lot easier.

samboll, apologies for my doubts! Thanks! :-)
