Different Categories on Different Pages (1 post)

Okay - several times now people have asked about having posts of one category on its own Page.

This is the site I am working on:

    http://www.therecshow.com

In the navigation bar at the top, I have categories such as "Movies" and "Music," and I'd like to have just the posts in the category of "Movies" go on the movie page, etc.

It seems to me that you should be able to alter the navigation button itself, redirecting it to automatically create an archive of posts in that category. WordPress has a sidebar link to such an archive by category.

MY QUESTION IS - where is the code located that tells the navigation button where to go or what to do? For instance, the "Movies" Page button in the navigation bar in the header - where is the code for that button, that tells it what to do?

If I could find that, it seems like I could replace or alter it with the code from the sidebar category button, and create the page directly.

    Any ideas?
