I have my WP setup so that:
Blog URL is: http://www.azureautonomie.com
WP URL is: http://www.azureautonomie.com/journal
I have a custom home.php that displays the most recent post in one part of the page.
Now I have the dreaded "no posts" page when I try to see my posts on http://www.azureautonomie.com/journal. I've looked through the support forums here to no avail.
Help is greatly appreciated!
In Admin/Settings/General, set both urls (WordPress & Blog) to http://www.azureautonomie.com (assuming you did install WP in your domain root directory).
Rename the Uncategorized category to Journal. Then, if you want, set up custom permalinks.

I installed WP in a subdirectory in the root, actually. In the end, though, I moved the installation to the root directory :P.
What is your present problem? Or, it is ok now, but you are sore that you couldn't keep the WP files in a separate folder which was your original intention?
