   Ive been making wordpress themes for close to a year now and truthfully I dont really know the differences between all these different methods for querying posts. I know that Query_posts alters the main loop and is recommended against but I dont really know what the advantages and disadvantages are to wp_query or get_posts.

   Could someone clear this up for me?
