   I placed the shortcode in a text widget and all that showed up on the front end is the shortcode. No subscribe widget. I couldn't see any other way to use the shortcode where it would be useful.

   Try and place the short code in the HTML edit. And save!

   I'm using 3.5.1 but I'm no longer trying to use the plugin .
