• I downloaded and installed the new preview version of WordPress 2.5 and noticed that there were a few things distincly different about the page/post creation page. First off the “save and continue” button is now missing in page creation. I also didn’t see any way to preview the page in either the older way (automatic on the bottom) or the newer way (with preview link) as you were working on it. Lastly, I never ever got a “autosaved” notice, so I would guess that’s gone also.

Any reasons for all of this?

Update: Duh, I found out how the preview and Save stuff works. The preview link only appears if you save the page, and save now acts only like save and continue–the old save where you were then taken to the manage page no longer occurs.

I’m still wondering about autosave though, I haven’t seen that happen yet.

I did see autosave in action. It appeared as “Draft Saved at 3:13:08 pm.” just below the Save and Publish buttons on the sidebar. I don’t think it was triggered until I ventured outside the Post block (when I created a new category.)
