   Hi there,

   I manage a wordpress site and I want the option to manually select the author of a post when I'm logged in as the admin. I know this is possible for wordpress.com but can't seem to find anything for wordpress.org. I don't want the writers to have to log into the website to be attributed to a post - I just want to select the author from the backend before publishing. Any help here would be great!

   That feature is baked into WordPress already. On the post entry page click the 'screen options' in the top right. Now check the 'Author' checkbox. This will show a drop down list of the users who can be chosen as the author in the post entry screen.

   Oh wow - thank you so much! They could have really made that more obvious...lol!
