I have a desktop wordpress website with around 1000 pages in 3 different languages with one theme. I want that the same content to be available for a mobile theme (different from the desktop theme) with the same slug and in the same domain, but with different layout.

    How is it possible?

    Hi feruxx,

You can install one of the many mobile plugins available:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wptouch/

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mobile-detector/

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mobile-smart/

I found many more by doing a search of the WordPress plugins for "mobile."

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks ChristiNi,
I tried every one of those plugins, but none allow me to easly modify pages/posts for better mobile appearence.

    Any other idea?

I find a plugin such as mobile domain, allow the redirect of any single url to the same url in a subdomain. THat's great! Now i need to find a theme can get only content from the main database.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

    Hi feruxx,

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you want to run two separate sites (one on the main domain and the other on a subdomain) from the same database. You can do that by creating a second install of WordPress in that subdomain and configuring it to pull information from the same database (where your content is stored). Just keep in mind that any changes you make to the actual content will apply to both sites as they will both be pulling from the same database.

The mobile plugins will allow you to choose a different theme for your mobile site. Some even come with their own mobile themes, which is the best way to to provide your users with a good mobile site experience.

    Hope this helps!
