• hello,

    I learned and have always created static websites using the usual fireworks, photoshop, dreamweaver, and flash. Up until now I was happy with creating sites in this fashion because they were your standard run of the mill output no input sites, purely for advertising or informational purposes.

    I replaced my standard website with the one I’m working on. If you would like to see what I have so far the url is: http://designsbyjot.com

    Question1: The problem I’m having is that the footer does not come up right in safari and also is there any way to get the “mini” post boxes to output the excerpt instead of the first couple lines from the actual post?? As you can see the mini post boxes are outputting the parameters for the image in the original post and is cutting off much needed information. Is there a way to get it to stop doing this and just include the post text?? or the excerpt??

    Question2: The other problem im running into is using the featured-post-gallery plug-in. is there anyway to get it to zoom in on the picture so it fits to the window? It is a nice feature but doesn’t allow for much aesthetic with the small thumbnails.

    Any help would be great and any dreamweaver addons would be great to help with seeing the site and coding.

    Thanks! 🙂

    bump edit

    q1 … use the_excerpt() instead of the_content()
    q2 … no idea. You can set the sizes of your thumbnail and preview images in the admin, so maybe you need to adjust those to fit your needs.
    Then again, I think most of these plugins check your posts and see what images you’re using. If you want control, see if you need to manually specify a custom field with the URL of the image you want to use.

    Dreamweaver plugin … no idea.

    Thx ill try that asap.

    has anyone used Themedreamer? is it worth buying? I’m very visual and being able to see what I’m coding and how it would look might make it easier to me.
