Dequeue scripts

Nextgen unfortianately comes with lots of scripts and styles of which not all need to be used (and has much effect on site performance), especially when a website already has functions like fancybox, lightbox etc installed.
So it’s a lot of work to dequeue and unregister these scripts.

Almost done, but somehow this one won’t work:
wp_dequeue_script('jquery.dotdotdot');

This script is stored in adapter.nextgen_basic_album_controller.php

Does anybody have a suggestion?
