• I can’t seem to wrap my tiny brain around this and hope someone has a solution or can help me figure it out.

I am selling seats in some classes (not online classes) and want to offer customers the option of paying half to hold their seats and the rest by a certain date. The only way I can see to do it is create two products for each class — a full price and half price and then use a spreadsheet to track who’s paid in full by making two half-price payments.

But I’m thinking there must be a better way. Has anyone done this? Or maybe there’s a paid extension that I don’t know about?

    Thanks,
    Tracey

Ok, I figured it out and used variations and attributes to make it happen. However, the product now shows my deposit price under the product name with the preface “from:” as if the lowest version of the product is $50. I don’t need that, but cannot find how to remove the “from” price or change the text “from” to something like “hold your seat for:”

Here’s a screenshot of what I’m referring to:

    Thanks for your help,

Hey there…thanks for your reply (which I just saw by accident…sorry for the delay!) I just found your plugin and it would be super helpful. I’m working on a site that’s sort of a labor of love and doesn’t generate any income for me, so right now I don’t have the $$ to spend. I may try out your plugin for my own site soon, though. Thanks for the reply! (BTW, I’m in Fort Collins.)
