    Hi

I realise that you are under no obligation to do so, (and I have read the terms at http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Deleting_.2F_Editing_Posts) but I was wondering if there was any way the following post could be deleted or amended:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/redirect-from-a-new-url-to-current-site-and-set-web-address

I have a client who has found that my use of their url within this post is having a detrimental effect on their site. Google is showing this post when people enter the url into a search and there are certain problems in telling customers about this url change that I have mentioned!

    Would it be possible to

    a) remove the topic entirely (there have been no responses to it so far)

    or

    b) edit it so that any reference to the urls are replaced with "example url.co.uk"/"example url.com"

Any help would be much appreciated!

  2. Removed. And your client's being a bit silly since 'detrimental' Google results will go away as they continue to use and post content to their site. I can go 10 pages on google searching on my site's keywords and even the domain name itself, before hitting up WordPress, and I post here a lot and link to my site often.

Thanks for your help. I do agree with you, however there were various politics going on in the background over which url to use and seeing the post would have sparked a fair amount on of controversy!

    Thanks again...
