   Hello. :)
   I hope you don't mind that I'm asking for some assistance.

   At first, I couldn't change the default category, which baffled me, because I'd done so in the past. But, after some Google searching and this thread, I was able to set my default category to the one I desired.

   Now my problem is that I cannot delete the former default category. Every time I try to delete it, it says it is the default category. But when I check the options, in every place mentioned, I've set the default category to the other one.

   Does anyone know what is wrong?

   Consider it a default for internal WordPress reasons (one being that Pages make use of it), whereas setting another category as default for posts and whatnot is for your personal use. So yes, in a way there are two kinds of "defaults' which fulfill different purposes, and keeping that first category is important.

   Is it possible that I could make this new category the default for both?
