   Hello,

   Ok I really need some help with deleting my homepage as I want to make a website & not a blog.

   I've already spent hours looking at all the threads but as I am not a techie & have never used wordpress before & have been completely fooled by the whole 'oh WordPress is so easy to use' theory I need a step by step breakdown of where to go & what to delete. I've looked in my header php & deleted: <div id="mainmenu">
   But that didn't work.
   The rest of the advice to be found I can't find in my account or don't understand. Could someone make it simple please?

   To make a WP site just pages create them and then arrange with a custom menu and apply. Done.

   Thanks SwansonPhotos, but I really want to delete the in built homepage as I don't want to have it there.
   Do you know how to do that?

   Admin Dashboard>Settings>Reading>Use a Static Front Page (which is one of the pages you have already created).
