Deleting breadcrumb plugin results in crash

    Yet another hangup trying to work with Frontier 🙁

    I decided we didn’t need the breadcrumb plugin, and that it would only confuse the folks working at the non-profit site I’m setting up, so I deleted it. Now the site has crashed.

    Here is the error:

    Since the errors are all pointing to the plugin’s files, I was going to conclude that the plugin is the issue. But I have downloaded the plugin and tried 2 ways of adding the breadcrumb. I tried the breadcrumb widget and also tested incorporating the plugin’s function into the theme’s header file. Then I deactivated and deleted the plugin. I have not experienced any errors at all.

    Once I got into the files on the server side and renamed the plugin folder, I got back into my site. I then name the plugin folder back and things were back to normal, with both plugins (since it installs one plugin that you use and a second one that you are told not to activate) still in the plugins page but deactivated along with all other plugins. This time I chose to delete the two plugins by choosing the top one, instead of the bottom one (there is nothing there that tells you that you have to do this) and they deleted without crashing my site. Very bad, though.

    I don’t have time to follow up with breadcrumb-navxt, I just will avoid that plugin like the plague.
