Deleting archived images from version 2.2.1

I am using v. 2.2.1 — 0.20 and I am trying to delete some photos from my blog permanently so they no longer come up in Google’s results as a request from an artist. I have deleted them from my “Manage”-> “Uploads” folder, but they are still in the archived history of the blog when I look at “wp-content/uploads” and don’t know how to remove them from there which therefore makes them still searchable on Google.

The tutorials I find to remove them from media folders are all for newer versions of WordPress.

Sorry, I’m not a programmer and would really like to do this myself as the artist keeps harassing me to take the images down and I have as best I know how.
