    Hey Michrichmond,

This plugin adds a post type called “books” but does not modify any information in the database on activation or deactivation. It’s possible that mybooks was overriding your permalink structure, but I don’t see how it would’ve deleted your pages. Did you already have a ‘books’ post type in place? How were you creating your “books” pages?

Let me know, I’m happy to help with this.

    Thanks,

    Joseph

I’ve tested every possible way this can happen. It was not MyBooks that deleted the data.

    Hey Michrichmond,

I found the problem you were having. None of your content is deleted…but the permalinks will need to be reset if you had pages called “books” with subpages under them. If you just go to Settings > Permalinks and click “save”, it will reset your old book pages so you can use them.

Hopefully you get this and it helps. I’m 99% sure this is the problem your having.
