Deleted Author- Posts got deleted with it

    Here is what happened.

    One of our admins accidentally deleted an author from the user list.

    When this was done it took all of that author’s posts with it apparently.

    Would this have gone into some kind of recycle bin? Keep in mind these aren’t pages these are actual posts.

    I had a thought that maybe I could reset the server to an earlier date. If I do that would it also reset my settings so that it would be as if the user and their posts were never deleted?

    Any help is appreciated.

    I haven’t tried so not sure…. do they happen to go into your post trash bin?

    If you roll your database back to before the deletion, you are correct…it’ll be as if it never happened. But only the database. Rolling back your server files will do nothing

    That’s the trouble, when I look at “edit posts” I don’t see a trash link which tells me there is nothing in it.

    I might just have to roll the database.
