Hello,
One of my colleagues at ModelURL.com deleted our modelurl.wordpress.com account because she thought we were not going to use it anymore. I am trying to get it back so that we can still use it, but it says that the name is unavailable. I am sure that no one has taken the name, but it appears that it's still reserved in your system. Is there anyway you can assign admin rights / the account back to the original sign up information that was used?

However, once you delete a blog on WordPress.COM it is gone, gone, gone and from reading the forum nobody has been able to get a canceled blog reactivated, that is why they advise against deleting the account and setting it to "Private" instead.
You can try contacting support directly: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ but the Forum threads have several threads a week about closed blogs that seem to stay closed.
