Delete Tags from Deleted Posts

    I have just deleted a bunch of posts, but it looks like the tags are still showing up in my tags list – showing 0 posts for each one. Why are these still lingering in my database? How can i delete all of these tags and only keep the ones that are actually assigned to posts that exist?

    Sort the list by the number of posts columns (click column header)and all the tags with zero posts will at the top of the list, then delete them. Even if you have many this should not take more than a few minutes. You can chnage # of items in each page to higher number…

    ah-ha i suppose that’s the easiest way of doing it…forgot that you can sort the columns. thanks
