"Delete originals" not working.

    I have “Delete originals” checked, but the original files still exists after upload and optimization. My assumption was uploadfiles would be optimized and then deleted while files already uploaded would be deleted only after manual optimization. Is this correct?

    Also, I have current versions of jpegtran and gifsicle from homebrew and am still seeing update availabe notice.

    Regarding your first question, the ‘delete originals’ option only applies if you have any of the conversion stuff enabled (gif2png, png2jpg, and jpg2png). With optimization, images are optimized ‘in place’, no backups are kept (I’ve never run across any reason to keep them anyway).

    As to your second question:
    The latest version of jpegtran is 9, released in January. The latest version of Gifsicle is 1.70, just released in February. If the older ones are working for you, then there isn’t really any huge reason to upgrade at the present time. The new version of gifsicle has some minor fixes, that you can read about at http://www.lcdf.org/gifsicle/, jpegtran doesn’t appear to do anything in version 9 that wasn’t already in version 8.
