Hello,
Is it possible to delete an image from a post gallery but leave it in the media library? I might use the same image in two posts, but want to delete from the original post it was uploaded with. It's a hassle to have to reupload.
Thanks if there is a solution.

This is getting stupid, I asked 4 fairly innocuous like the one above in the past 2 weeks and I didn't get a single answer. The WP forums or b0rked, or am I missing something?

I'd love to have this question answered as well. Seems like every question I have has been posted numerous times, but never gets answered--except in the rare case where someone answers in Olde English.

If you delete an image from a post, it stays available within WP. For a new post you cab find the image under Media/Library There is even a search there (better when you have a lot of media)
You can delete an image from WP by going to Media and then Show and then Delete at the bottom of the screen.
