[resolved] Default Value for User Information (4 posts)

    Hi,

Great addition to the CF7 plugin. I had a question though that I badly need a solution for. Is there a way to make the default value dynamically populate with the current logged in user's username? Similarily I would like another hidden field that autopopulates with the user's email so that I can use this field to send a confirmation email to the email that is populated.

    Thanks for the help

Good idea - this is added in version 1.3

Thanks for the feedback and addition to the Plugin!

Unfortunately I'm still having issues when trying to use the new default values. When I add "user_name", "user_email", etc. to the "Default value (optional)" field it does indeed autopopulate the form with that value but it's populating the field with "user_name" and not dynamically changing to the logged in user's name/email/etc.

Can you provide any help with this?

    Thanks in advance!

Nvm, I found my resolution in another thread. It seems changing the name of the hidden field affects the auto populate function. I've left the default naming of "hidden-xxx" and it's working fine.

    Thanks again!
