[resolved] Default upload protection from front end (8 posts)

    This plugin is nearly perfect for me. However, is it possible to make files uploaded from front end (by the user) protected by default. I am working on a site that receives job applications and I don't want the files to be "visible".

    Very interesting, I may try and build-in the functionality in a future version.

    For now though I want you to try this:

    In the upload <form></form> in your front end template add this hidden input:

    <input type="hidden" name="mgjp_mv_protected" value="on">

    Also make sure that your form is submitting via post (the <form> tag should have an attribute like method="post").

    Let me know if it works for you.

    Thank you for your quick reply!
    I tried it and it worked perfectly!! The files attached by the user are now protected.

    Awesome!

    No problem!

    And please consider giving the plugin a rating/review, it would help me out a lot!

    This is exactly what I need but for some reason it is not working for me.

    I have added the code you suggested to my functions.php which adds the input on my User Frontend form no problem, but it is not protecting the file after submitting the form.

    Do I need to include files in my header or something? It would be a great help to get this working.

    Thanks for your help

    Hey pak77, could you give me access to the page your front-end form is on? It will make it easier to determine where the issue is.
