   following ur directions from this topic results in a table that isnt automatically sorted upon load. all it seems to do is is prevent the column from being manually sorted any other way than specified in the custom command string ("desc").

   yes, the code in that post is apparently wrong, and indeed does what you describe, instead of what was asked there... Sorry about that.

   great, that did the trick.

   a shame the aforementioned thread is locked and ergo cannot be corrected.
