How do you know that the error wasn’t yours? Why didn’t you try to contact the plugin’s author about this by posting a topic in the plugin’s dedicated sub-forum?

There’s no room for the error being mine if the error is present upon activation of the plugin.
So why didn’t you try to contact the plugin’s author about this?
Because the last updated date is 2012-8-29
To be fair, the support forum doesn’t seem to be frequented by the plugin author since a long time ago.
Is there any possibility that someone can take over the maintenance of this plugin? If so, I am interested.
