Whats the role of a user when he register a new blog ? administrator? can i change this so by default blog registration get a custom role?

When a user creates a new blog, he’s the admin.

if a user does NOT create a blog, he is a subscriber to all public blogs (but not listed as they’re actually psudeo subcribers).

You can change it with a plugin, but you cannot change the fact that a user who makes a blog is the admin. That’s kind of the point.

Thanks for making it clear i was trying to assign custom roles with the registration with no luck :/ . I am looking for specific functions and i am not sure yet if multisite is the answer to what i am trying to make.
I want the admin to be able only to make posts and have a profile presentation.
And the user be able to have account info and a way to txt only in the backend, the admin of each blog, he was to get in contact with.

1.Can we limit and specify the rights of each user (blog & subscriber)?
2.Also the subscriber is subscribed at specific blog or at all the network ?

    thx,
    c

Yes, you can limit the rights of each user on each blog.

The subscriber is registered for the whole network, but is not subscribed (really) anywhere unless you give them the rights.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multisite-user-management/ is the plugin to help you manage members.

The … erm. Well okay. Heres the problem you have with the admin stuff. You’re trying to REMOVE a built in feature. In fact THE feature. The whole concept of MultiSite here is that you’re permitting people to become admins of their own blogs on your network. By removing that ability, why are you giving people their own blogs in the first place?

if i can limit the blog administrator rights by default then i dont need other roles, the defaults subscriber & admin are enough! I only need is to configure them in my needs.
Can i separate the registration form of mu in two forms? one form for the user who only needs a username and another one if the user needs a blog?
The admins should have their own blogs but not be able to manage plugins, themes or pages, only posts and their info. Any plugin to extend their profile and show it as page?

Per site admins cannot install themes or plugins.

The admins should have their own blogs but not be able to manage plugins, themes or pages,

Which is again, WHY do these people need their own blogs?

You could use a single site with CPTs, and toss in a membership plugin to limit them per CPT.

Per site admins cannot install themes or plugins.

disable tools/plugings/appearance/lings/page editing for admins. dont i need to edit their role access?

Which is again, WHY do these people need their own blogs?

in order to post in their blog + having access at a reservation plugin + users be t able to contact them.
CPT looks so powerful! i ll give a better look to it!

Per site admins cannot INSTALL themes and plugins. Period. No additional plugins needed.

You can even go in and turn off the plugin menu so per-site admins can’t see it at all. And themes are even easier, as if you don’t network activate a theme, they can’t see it at all.

    Hi guys, Help please?
Exactly what i need to do is to set default role of new blog registrar as Subscriber or Editor or any other custom role?

    I tried these plugins:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multisite-user-management
(It is only for setting default roles for new user of already registered multi-sites, but not for new multi-site default owner)
also i tried: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/new-blog-default-user-role with no luck at all. 🙁

    Can i do this?
Can i create custom role right from network admin area via some plugin ???
can i set default new blog registrar role to set auto as subscriber or editor??
