   Hello,

   I am pretty new to wordpress and I am pretty impressed by the capabilities that it offers. I am pretty much just used to making HTML pages and don't have any professional experience, just self taught.

   What I would like to do is make a custom page act as the default when some one loads up the site. For example:

   If I make the page with the link:
   website.com/?p=15

   I would like to make that be the default when some one goes to website.com

   I've tried deleting the page that originally came up when I went to the domain but then that pulls up another page or a blog page.

   Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

   log in
   admin - settings - reading
   choose static home page option

   you will need to assign a page for your blog or create an empty page with title of choice and select that for blog page
