Default Image Upload Directory (5 posts)

I am currently using Roots Theme which modifies the default uploads directory to be /assets/ . However, I noticed that the plugin is hardcoded to upload to the default WordPress directory, so none of my uploaded images will work on its own.

I am not a plugins developer, but maybe something like wp_upload_dir() (http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_upload_dir) should be used instead?

I vote for this change as well…….I also don't use the default 'uploads' directory in my WP installation, so having it hard-coded in the plugin makes it impossible for me to use this plugin……pity, because it really seems like a great one.

Any chance you will update this plugin soon to use wp_upload_dir() instead of assuming that everyone puts their uploads in the same place?

Hardcoding the URL to the uploads directory is a bad coding practice to begin with. I can manually modify the plugin's code to fix this, but I'd rather let the dev do it so that it benefits everybody and not be afraid to possibly lose my modifications following a plugin update.
