  • I have never blogged. So setting up a blog has inspired some questions. In a forum like this one I can start a new topic. It seems that in the blog a subscriber can only comment on a post (topic) not start a new one. Is it supposed to be this way in the world of blog? Is there a way to change that?

  • Let users register, login, and write posts.

You’ll need to assign the proper Role, of course, to allow them to write a post.

I added the accessiblility “edit post” but that didn’t seem to do anything (role: subscriber). I don’t see a “write post” or write anything?

Give them author role, but if you’ve used Role Manager to change things up, I believe you need the publish_posts capability.

I did use the Role Manager and enabled Publish_Post for subscriber. (It needs to stay subscriber if possible) But it didn’t seem like anything changed. I just want subscribers to publish new posts.

    thanks for the guidance
