[resolved] Decreasing Space Between Posts on Homepage (3 posts)

    I'm using Firebug and Chrome's web developer tools and I haven't been able to pinpoint the code I need to adjust to reduce the amount of space between posts on the homepage and any search results page. Here's my URL: http://reddoorreview.com

    Specifically, I'm referring to the faint double lines at the bottom of an entry and the headline for the beginning of the next entry. Here's a screenshot: http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/9352/screenshot20130108at203.png

    Here's my child theme for Twenty Twelve: http://reddoorreview.com/wp-content/themes/twentytwelvechild/style.css

    And the parent theme: http://reddoorreview.com/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/style.css

    Any suggestions?

    Using Firebug to look at the CSS shows that the bottom margin here is creating that space:

    .site-content article {
        -moz-hyphens: auto;
        border-bottom: 4px double #EDEDED;
        margin-bottom: 5.14286rem;
        padding-bottom: 1.71429rem;
        word-wrap: break-word;
    }

    So add this to your child theme style.css file and change the number accordingly:

    .site-content article {
        margin-bottom: 5.14286rem;
    }

    Brilliant, thank you WPyogi! It worked perfectly with:
    margin-bottom: 2.14286rem;

    Cheers!
