It looks like too much space now because the posts don’t have any titles. From what I can tell, the titles are supposed to appear in the empty spaces between the post boxes. Try adding titles to your posts, and you will see what I am talking about.

I can change the font size but the black between the post title/post – post/post title remains unchanged
as a test, add a background color to the .post style and a different background color to .entry-content to see how much space there is between posts.
as this is a pure formatting problem, please try to work with a tool such as Firefox’ add-on Firebug to investigate the css.
