The .po and .mo files should be already included in the theme’s ZIP file, in the languages folder.

You need to edit your wp-config.php file (ask your hosting provider for assistance if necessary). Find the line that says define( 'WP_LANG', '' ); and change it to define( 'WP_LANG', 'es_ES' );. Note the capitalization. Also, check out WordPress > Español to download the required files if you’d also like to change your Dashboard to Spanish as well.
Hey, Stephencottontail! Thank you very much! I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, the Spanish translation is very bad 🙁 and not everything is translated, i. e., “search”, “posted on”, “select month”, etc. But this is a free product and it is better than nothing 😉 Thanks again!!!
