Deceiving SEO spam!!

    SPAMMER:
    alldj . org IP 72.232.183.102

    I discovered an SEO spam used by someone from the above domain. If you check this url it is not even a blog but a DJ website to promote downloads of music.
    The question he will put in your comments is clever;

    “What I want to do on my blog, is every few hours take the oldest post and move it to the front of the queue, all automatically. Anyone know if there is a plugin that can do this or a simple way to set up another plugin to do this (use my own feed perhaps)?
    Thanks.”

    Just do a search on “every few hours take the oldest post and move it” and you will see it is all over the place.

    Another text they use is;
    “Is Las Vegas a nice place to live? […]
    I heard Green Valley, Henderson and Summerlin are nice places to possibly?My friend live in Vegas and said the prices after a 5 yr. rise will fall about 6-8 percent in the next 2 yrs.Like they say it’s all about the timing.Please commet back with some insight on Las Vegas.”

    They use different names tough.

    I blocked this guy and must admit it is clever.!

    Use Akismet. If the guy’s comment makes it through, then mark it as spam manually. This sends the comment back to Akismet and tells it that it’s spam, so that Akismet can learn and adapt.

    I choose not to use Askimet but BadBehavior and SpamKArma2, I put him on the blacklist.

    The reason I suggest Akismet over Spam Karma is that Akismet works over a wide range of blogs. The more people who use it, the better is it. For example, if the same comment is seen in several places, then Akismet can notice and start flagging it as spam. That sort of thing.

    I got this in a post I made on gmail. Well, I figured hmm it’s about gmail and I talked about gmail so maybe it’s real even though Akismet flagged it. But Akismet flagged it so I started searching and now…I dunno…

    I am a proud Gmail user. Never worrying about email size, incredibly fast reply (powered by AJAX, a technology often used by Google), Web Clips,
    automatic forwarding, one button – click search, advanced filters, labels and not folders, message preview, automatic refresh, auto-save messages,as-good-as-yahoomail spam filters, not one executable to be sent or received, feeling of having a different technology? A definite recommendation for
    anyone that reads more than one email per day.
    Have you tried Gmail? If yes, what’s your taste on it? Why do you love it/hate it?
